Things To Do In Waco That Are Fun!
In this postal service I'k sharing things to do in Waco, Texas that are fun! There'south lots to see and do that are Magnolia related and yet so much more.
Much of the time when you hear about Waco, it's probably going to be related to the Magnolia empire. Oh you know…Chip and Joanna Gaines and the HGTV series Fixer Upper. There is more to encounter and do and I headed there on a recent trip. I was invited to spend a few days in Waco with some of my favorite Instagram friends. Although I had never met whatsoever of these women in person until the trip, we accept known each-other for several years. Our host Jill from the blog Gathered Grace was so gracious and welcoming!
I flew into Austin and she was kind enough to pick a couple of united states upwardly at the drome. When visiting Waco you can fly into either Austin (2 hour drive to Waco) or Dallas (one one/two hour bulldoze). Texas is BIG and the drive takes you across fields, farmland and open up skies. Nosotros stayed at the famous Barndominium that was one of Fleck and Joanna's fixer upper homes. If you lot want to spotter it, the show was featured on HGTV in Season three, Episode 6 – HERE.
The Barndominium is a 5 bedroom, 2 bathroom retreat fix on sixteen acres and sits behind a gate. It was quite cold that weekend. and we were always on the go, therefore we didn't use the outside much. The property is a gated enclave attack 16 acres with a lake. Information technology was cold though…cold!
Every bit you lot walk in, there is a long farmhouse table for gathering and lots of shiplap.
The family room was downstairs, likewise as a sweet function where I was able to go some work done.
On the second level was the kitchen and the dining room. This is where we gathered and laughed and sat in our jammies at night!

After Jill served us a squeamish welcome spread we were picked up at the Barndomium by Waco Wine Tours. We headed out to the winery for a lovely private tasting tour. Our tour guide Joey went above and beyond to explicate everything and the wines were some of the best that I've had in some fourth dimension. Later on the tour nosotros were treated to relaxing oxygen facials at NuGenesis Spa. A great way to finish up a long day!

The adjacent twenty-four hours nosotros got upwards early to head into boondocks and grab breakfast at Magnolia Table. Without a doubt we knew that yous had to get there early or wait. Seriously my favorite food on this trip and the breakfast was not only delicious simply hugely portioned! If y'all become, be sure to sample the lemon lavender donut holes! If you observe yourself in the area someday, this would be loftier on my list of things to practice in Waco!
Magnolia Attractions In Waco
- We also visited all of the Magnolia related "things to exercise in Waco" and most of it revolved around shopping! There was the Niggling Shop On Bosque, which was the original home to the Magnolia store and at present houses their clearance items.
- The Magnolia Market at the Silos was overflowing with Christmas goods and beautifully styled.
- Magnolia Bakery and since we were there in the area in the afternoon, the line was also long. Our host Jill directed us to the Magnolia Baker food truck with no line. We stocked up on some delicious cupcakes to sample and share!
- Magnolia Silos defines the area, but the silos themselves are not open for visitation. There is a wide open lawn to relax on and eat your cupcakes, people watch or play games.
Shopping In Waco
When it came to shopping we did more our share indeed, and fifty-fifty had a limo from Legacy Limousines of Waco bulldoze the states effectually! If you lot're looking for fun things to do in Waco, make time to visit the many interesting shops. These are a couple of shops that we as well enjoyed:

- Apricot Lane (shop online here too)
Favorite Eateries In Waco
- Back Yard Waco (great food and live music)
- Lula Janes (all made from scratch)
- Slowrise Slice House (some of the all-time pizza I've had)
And last but not least, we took a sign making workshop. In add-on to learning some techniques, it was corking bonding for our group. This identify is truly a must if you're with some friends and looking for fun things to practise while in Waco. We spent an afternoon at Board and Brush making our own signs and undoubtedly this was my favorite experience! Take a look at our projects…we loved this!
