Hi In that location,
I've been accepted into a program that I would be happy to get to, although I'k starting to realize I may want more time before I head into that program. I know this flies into the confront of what the application procedure tells you to do, but I realize my state of affairs might be improve suited to start in a year permit's say or even to reapply into a dual caste program such as a JD/MBA in a year. I'm nevertheless on the fence and the state of affairs with COVID-19 hasn't helped provide clarity. I plan to take some time in the next month to determine, and unfortunately the program doesn't accept deferrals.
Would it exist wrong/bad/hurt my chances to have the offer and pay the deposit initially, potentially renege on my offer for this year, and then re-utilize the adjacent cycle? I would communicate extensively with the AdCom team almost my reasoning and reaffirm that it is the place I want to go, just non necessarily at this time.
My gut tells me this would cause the AdCom committee some headache and I'm leaning away from it, simply am wondering if yous all have any advice or feel on this topic?

Congrats on your offer of admission! Ultimately, yous want to feel confident in whatever determination you're making -- the final thing you lot want is to be unsure of your selection for a decision equally big as enrolling in graduate school.
